Compounding, the eighth wonder of the world
I bet you’re all thinking of how minimalism is coming to compounding, well the correlation is enormous.
Let’s start in the beginning, what is compounding all about? Well, compounding typically refers to increase of asset value due to the interest earned both on the principal and on accumulated interest. So compound interest means earning interest on interest and after while the compound interest will be bigger than the capital originally invested. Compounding is the direct realisation of time value of money concept and works on both; on assets and on liabilities.
Minimalism to me was always like compounding, little constant daily efforts that makes valuable long-term difference in my life. Daily habits that shaping our lives, either on the good way or on a bad way. The little things from having our daily coffees at Starbucks to eating those junk food.
It is our responsibility to bring the best out of each day, our time is precious and wasting it is a sin. We must pick up the right habits to develop mentally, staying in shape physically, being on point spiritually. If we have lots of bad habits than we are going to sink slowly, but there’s always place to change our life, to change our habits, to develop, to learn, to love, to care.
Minimalism is also starting from a tiny little habit of not wasting food, not throwing away clothes instead donating them, reducing our waste, using less plastic on daily basis, supporting local businesses, buying products from ethical suppliers, paying attention on the environment as much as possible.
Our good deeds will add up and will bring results sooner or later but the results will be there. He understands it, earns it, he who doesn’t, pays it.
These little daily actions are compounding in our lives also, positive thoughts bring positive results. Compounding is really the eighth wonder of the world.
Your sincerely
To/Minimal
